Purpose | Electrochemotherapy (ECT) has been used successfully for treatment of recurrent head and neck cancers. |
Methods | Case series of 4 palliative patients with widespread metastatic malignancy and periocular involvement. All patients were offered surgical resection but preferred less involved measures. We report technique and outcomes. |
Results | 83 year-old man with metastatic malignant melanoma (MM) including nodules in the right medial orbit and medial canthus. After ECT treatment, he was able to open his eye again, the nodules decreased in size and he had less pain. |
Conclusion | Electrochemotherapy may be a useful palliative treatment for periocular tumors to improve pain and reduces tumour volume. |
