We are very pleased to share the Nottingham Oculoplastics Cadaveric Course, a hands-on training opportunity.
The updated RCOphth curriculum places particular emphasis on competence in key emergency oculoplastics procedures required for on-call work — notably lateral canthotomy and cantholysis, tarsorrhaphy, and eyelid laceration repair. Opportunities to gain supervised, hands-on experience in these time-critical skills can be limited in routine clinical practice.
This course is designed to help trainees build practical confidence in these core emergency procedures within a safe, supervised environment.
The hands-on programme will include:
- Lid laceration repair
- Lateral canthotomy and cantholysis
- Ptosis repair
- Entropion and ectropion
- External DCR
- Evisceration / Enucleation
Self Assessment 7 CPD points per day
