Each Full paid up BOPSS member is entitled to cast one vote for their preferred candidate. The candidate that receives the highest number of votes will be duly elected. The returning officer is Mr Austin McCormick, Treasurer of BOPSS and any queries or concerns should be emailed to Austin via treasurer@bopss.co.uk

The following candidates have been nominated for election as the next BOPSS President –
Mr Raman Malhotra

I am honoured to stand for BOPSS President. As a founding member, I have been privileged to contribute since its inception at many levels, submitting abstracts to every meeting, lectures, serving >20-years on BRAAC, advising/leading on NICE-applications, as fellowship-mentor to 43 fellows:training the next generation.
Co-organising BOPSS-Brighton demonstrated the value of openness, teamwork and collaboration, bringing together colleagues with different perspectives to deliver a highly successful meeting.
As President, I would prioritise to ensure BOPSS:
-Allocates resources helping new consultants navigate their early years, nurturing them as future oculoplastic leaders.
-Expands education through webinars, workshops, cadaveric training, extending to early ST-level trainees.
-Pursues BOPSS-accredited aesthetic-surgery certification, defending/validating members.
-Improves standards and promotes local innovations in functional and aesthetic surgery.
-Establishes BOPSS-approved fellowship-programme schemes.
-Showcases the entire UK and Ireland as an international platform for innovative speakers worldwide.
-Increases wide and inclusive membership committees regardless of specialist-interests, age and gender.

Mrs Katya Tambe

It would be an honour to serve BOPSS and build on its strong reputation for advancing education, research and clinical practice.
If elected, I endeavour to strengthen collaboration with international societies while preserving the values that make BOPSS special: friendship, accessibility and working together for the benefit of patients and clinicians.
As current Honorary Secretary, organiser of the 2019 Nottingham BOPSS meeting, and regular attendee since 2006, I have developed a warm rapport with members and a strong understanding of our Society. Through roles as an ESOPRS-EBO examiner, organiser of the APSOPRS Visiting-Travel-Award, and contributor to BOPSS webinars, I have built valuable international partnerships. I have represented BOPSS nationally and internationally as an invited speaker, including the UKISCRS 75th Anniversary of the IOL and the AO-CMF-UK Advanced Facial Trauma Courses.
I will continue to support ongoing initiatives, strengthen training opportunities, and ensure BOPSS remains a leading voice for periocular surgery.
