Help Shape the future of Thyroid Eye Research

May 11, 2026

We’re leading a James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership for Thyroid Disease to help shape the future of thyroid research in the UK.

We want to ensure every voice is represented. So we’re inviting people to complete our online survey to tell us what areas they want thyroid research to focus on.

Please share these flyers and posters to encourage patients, carers and healthcare professionals to help them have their say.

Our SmartSurvey will open by 11 May 2026 for around six weeks. Anyone with an interest in thyroid disease can submit the questions they want thyroid research to address.

Our Steering Group of patients, carers and healthcare professionals (including endocrinologists, surgeons, psychologists, nurses and an economist) will guide the process and ensure we hear from people of all ages across the UK.

Responses will be analysed by an Information Specialist at Cardiff University, checked against existing evidence, and reduced to a shortlist of 25–30 questions. These will be discussed at a final workshop where patients, carers and professionals, each with an equal voice, will agree on the top 10 priorities. The whole process will take around 12–18 months.

Please get in touch if you would like more posters or flyers, or have any questions.

We can also provide you with a different link you can use with iPads in clinics, which allows multiple responses.
