Pari Shams

Miss Shams graduated with distinction from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in 1999, and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2002, and fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London in 2011. Miss Shams undertook fellowship training in oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery at world leading institutions for oculoplastic surgery; The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2010, The South Australian Institute of Ophthalmology, Adelaide, Australia in 2011, The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital London in 2012 and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, U.S.A in 2013. In 2014 she was appointed as a full time Consultant to the Oculoplastic Service at Moorfields Eye Hospital London where she offers a comprehensive adult and paediatric service in all aspects of eyelid, lacrimal and orbital disease. She has a special interest in periocular aesthetic surgical rejuvenation. Miss Shams is a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Societ, the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the European Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Miss Shams has been actively involved in clinical research over the last 25 years and has contributed numerous peer-reviewed publications to the field of oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital disease. She has presented her research at over 50 national and international conferences.
