Mr. Tristan McMullan

Mr McMullan spent 11 years training as an general ophthalmologist with extensive sub-specialisation in oculoplastics in both the UK and the USA – before becoming a Consultant in 2007. His fellowship training on both sides of the Atlantic has enabled Mr McMullan to choose the best practice and techniques from both to optimise results for both patient and surgeon. His North American training is particularly relevant to aesthetic surgery.

A Cambridge graduate with a PhD in molecular genetics Mr McMullan has retained an interest in research, both clinical and scientific. He has published numerous peer- reviewed papers and presented at national and international conferences. He jointly runs a (fully funded) adnexal fellowship at Northampton General hospital. His NHS responsibilities have included being Lead Clinician in the ophthalmology department at Northampton General Hospital and Chair of the Local Professional Network (part of NHS England).

Mr McMullan is a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society and the European Society of Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS). He is a previous ESOPRS junior award winner. He was made a Trustee of NAB, the Northamptonshire Association for the Blind, in 2014
