Please ensure that you select the correct option. We will check all applications to ensure that you have registered at the correct rate. The early bird rate option closes at 12 noon on 2nd May 2025.

The meeting fee is for Thursday and Friday only. If you want to attend on Wednesday (Update Day), you must also select this option and pay the additional fee. 

Tickets (members)

If you are a BOPSS member, please ensure you have paid your membership fees BEFORE purchasing meeting tickets. Reduced rate members tickets will only appear available to purchase to logged in members with up to date subscriptions. If you have been invited to give a talk please contact conference@bopss.co.uk before purchasing your ticket so we can apply a discount for you for the day you are speaking.

BOPSS full/associate member – you have been accepted as a BOPSS member (Full or Associate) and your membership subscription is up to date.

BOPSS trainee member – you have been accepted as a BOPSS trainee member and your membership subscription is up to date.

Tickets (non paid member rates)

Consultant Ophthalmologist and SAS Grade - Non BOPSS member.

Trainee – this rate applies to training grades and includes subspecialty trainees, postgraduate, clinical and research fellows, FD3.

Medical Science Liaison or trade – this rate applies to medical manager, medical science liaison, non-medical, trade representatives or non-clinical pharmaceutical representative.

Foundation Dr, Medical Student or ophthalmic nurse – applies only to ophthalmic nurse, medical student, and Foundation Doctor YR 1 & 2. If you wish to book at this rate, email beforehand with a copy of your ID and we will send you a link to pay.

Wednesday - Update Day tickets and ophthalmic nurse course

You will be asked to prove your trainee status if you purchase a 'trainee non-member' Update Day ticket.

Scientific Meeting tickets

To purchase a BOPSS Full, Associate, or Trainee member Scientific Meeting ticket, you must be logged in and have an active membership subscription.

This ticket includes a ticket to the BOPSS 25th anniversary dinner on Thursday evening.

Social tickets

For the BOPSS 25th Anniversary Thursday evening event at Shelter Hall.

A ticket is included with your scientific meeting registration fee, so you DO NOT need to purchase a Thursday evening event ticket for yourself, it's included in the scientific meeting ticket. 

There are a limited number of guest tickets available to purchase for a guest or friend. If you have booked a scientific meeting ticket do not purchase a guest ticket for yourself.

To purchase a guest ticket you must have purchased a Scientific Meeting ticket.

Thursday morning social activities

This ticket is limited to one activity per person.

Workshops tickets

The 'Fillers for fellows’ workshop' and 'Endoscopic workshop for trainees' require a trainee Scientific Meeting ticket purchase.

Coffee with the experts

Limited booking first come first served, no reserving of places. Please choose one of the two options available. This ticket is limited to one per person and requires a Scientific Meeting ticket purchase. If you do not have a case, please do not book a ticket.

Dietary requirements

We are unable to cater for individual tastes or preferences. We will provide a meat, fish, and vegetarian option each day. If you require the vegetarian, vegan or halal option, please indicate this in the dietary requirements field so we can order accordingly. If you have a food allergy (such as nut) or require gluten free please state this in the “other” dietary field.

Cancellation and refund policy

The Society will offer a 100% refund if you cancel before 01st May 2025, 50% refund if you cancel before 31st May 2025. No refund after 1st June 2025. Please send in a written request with supporting evidence (GP letter for example).
