International Visiting Fellows Award

The BOPSS committee would like to announce the introduction of the International Visiting Fellows Awards. This offers oculoplastic surgeons, who are working abroad, financial support to visit the UK for a short observership under the patronage of a full BOPSS member. For its inaugural year, 2017, Members are invited to propose a visitor for the award; the total value of the which is £2000. It is expected that the proposer/s will arrange the necessary  visas and accommodation.More info...

Update on RCS Cosmetic Inter-specialty Committee (CISC)

One of the recommendations in the Government response to Review of the Regulation of Cosmetic Interventions chaired by Sir Bruce Keogh was that Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) should establish a Cosmetic Inter-specialty Committee (CISC) to improve regulation in the sector to ensure high quality care and an informed and empowered public. BOPSS Scientific Meeting attendance grant

The British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society is offering 2 complimentary admissions for the Annual Meeting to colleagues from developing countries. The Ophthalmologists (a senior trainee or consultant) will be offered free registration to the entire Meeting. This will be supported by a local ‘sponsor’ (BOPSS member) who will apply for the scheme on behalf of the delegate.
