BOPSS Oxford meeting postponed to August 2021

Back to News

We are in extraordinary times and in view of government advice, grim prognostications and the need for common sense, the Exec has made a decision to postpone the Oxford meeting to 4th – 6th August 2021. This is because of financial pressures (which can be mitigated by moving rather than cancelling the meeting) and in acknowledgement of the huge amount of work done by the Oxford organising team over the past few months. Our choice of the possible dates in 2021 was very limited and this was felt to be the best available at Keble.

I appreciate the date is not ideal and it impinges onto the school holidays but I hope a mid-summer meeting in Oxford will have its appeal. The consequence of this move is that our subsequent meetings in Leeds, Manchester and Brighton will all shift forwards 1 year, although we plan to revert to June as the meeting month.

Rest assured, our webmaster will be working to return all conference payments over the next 2 weeks. Funds will be credited to the payment card.

I realise you are exceptionally busy but look after yourself and I hope you can make Oxford 2021.

Kind regards,

BOPSS President.
