Peerooz Saeed studied medicine at the university of Amsterdam. After residencies in neurosurgery and ophthalmology in Amsterdam, he was a fellow in orbital and oculoplastic surgery with Leo Koornneef in Amsterdam and Jack Rootman in Vancouver, Canada. He received PhD at university of Amsterdam on orbital meningiomas. His scientific work focuses on Graves orbitopathy, Orbital tumors and anatomy.

At this moment is he the director of orbital center at Amsterdam university medical center (AUMC) and vice chair of department of ophthalmology of AUMC. He has trained many orbital and oculoplastic surgeons from across Europe, North America, and Asia. Since 2004, he is the president the World Access to Medical Advances Foundation an organization which facilitates training and fellowship programs on site. Trainings were provided in the countries like Suriname, Mozambique, Indonesia, Vietnam, Serbia.

He is member of the orbital society, European society of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery
