BOPSS would like to recognise that our trainees have had very little chance to present to a national audience in the last 18 months. Multi-disciplinary Oculoplastics – Bringing you the Best

This symposium is a joint-venture between the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and BOPPS. We hope to showcase updates in lacrimal, orbital and oculoplastic surgery including reconstructive and aesthetic elements. We will also focus on multidisciplinary collaboration which is so important within our specialty. We have speakers from our own specialty and from multidisciplinary teams contributing. Joint Royal College of Ophthalmologists and BOPSS ‘Multidisciplinary Oculoplastics- Bringing you the Best’ Seminar Thursday 24 June 2021 We have lined up an exciting panel of speakers and the format will consist of short update talks and Q & A sessions interspersed. Oxford meeting postponed until July 2023

In view of government advice and lockdown into late Spring 2021, the Executive has made a decision to postpone the Oxford meeting until July 2023. The 2022 BOPSS meeting will take place in Manchester as originally planned. The Executive is pleased to announce that BOPSS will be jointly organising with the College an oculoplastics seminar chaired by Vickie Lee on 24th June 2021. Thyroid Eye Services Directory

BOPSS has been working closely with TEAMeD to implement TEAMeD-5. The aim is to increase awareness among clinicians and patients of the importance of prevention, diagnosis and prompt referral of patients with Thyroid Eye Disease. A directory has been created to give information about thyroid eye services in different regions of the UK. Research Opportunity in Auckland

Clinician/researcher to join our team in Auckland for a PhD programme based around thyroid eye disease research. Role: We are inviting expressions of interest for a Thyroid Eye Disease MD/PhD project based at the Eye clinic, Auckland District Health Board and Dept. of Ophthalmology, University of Auckland, New Zealand National Eye Centre.
